Founder and Principal Architect
Jennifer is the founder and lead architect at Fabricae. Her passion for crafting meaningful spaces for her clients let her to start Fabricae in 2018 in a pursuit of creating spaces that reflected each client's uniqueness.
Graduating from Dalhousie University with her Masters' in Architecture in 2010, she practiced in PEI and New Brunswick before moving to Kingston in 2017. She has over 13 years experience in a variety of architecture from small scale residential renovations to multi-million dollar homes, large scale residential developments, corporate and commercial architecture, low-income housing and heritage architecture. Now as the principal architect at Fabricae, she focuses on architectural projects that she find more personal and meaningful, primarily homes or smaller scale commercial projects.
She is currently a member of Heritage Kingston and has worked on on several local heritage projects, most notably as the design architect for 81 King St East.
Jennifer also has her Bachelor of Environmental Design Studies and Bachelor of Fine Arts. She is also a professional artist with a focus in installation art and sculpture.
Taryn is a senior designer of interiors at Fabricae. She is a graduate of the Interior Design Bachelor's program at Algonquin College and a graduate of the Master of Interior Design program at the University of Manitoba. While at UofM she completed a concentration in Disability Studies which further fueled her passion for designing for vulnerable populations. Taryn was named the Teknion Fellow for 2015/16 for her graduate thesis Organically created project space: an evaluation of project space as a learning environment for young adult learners with learning disabilities.
Taryn has a diverse knowledge of interiors working on small scale millwork projects with her carpenter husband to large scale offices and multi residential projects. Taryn loves working with clients on their homes to create spaces that they will love to live in for years to come.
Khalida is our wonderfully technical technologist. She graduated from Algonquin College's Architectural Technology Diploma program in December 2021. She has a passion for mechanical design and a wealth of knowledge from her previous profession as a Civil Engineer.
She has a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and led Civil Engineering Firm in Afghanistan. She has 14 years experience in the construction industry working in a wide range of residential, commercial, and business development projects.
Brittany is our triple threat with education in engineering, architecture and interior design. She completed her Bachelor of Environmental Design Studies with distinction from Dalhousie University and a Diploma of Interior Design through The Interior Design Institute.
Hailing from the East Coast, she is a very organized and talented designer. She enjoys using her skills to create beautiful and crafted spaces for our clients that positively influence how people use and feel within their surroundings.
Ruksha joined the Fabricae Architecture team in 2022. She has a Bachelor of Architecture from Nepal Engineering College and is currently studying Project Management.
Ruksha has a background in architecture, and she has worked on a variety of residential, commercial, and interior design projects. She has led projects through all of their stages, from project contracts to conceptual designs to the final design, construction, and project closure. She is committed to fulfilling her client's needs with a well-thought-out design.
